Ad mentioned the old version when it was juat a Face Swap app was far more fun, as you could adjust the face geometry. This current version just uses face recognition, which quite honestly isn't all that fun and has little control. As other mentioned, the dev also loaded it with other features that aren't used too much. RIP to the original faceapp. Maybe it wasn't perfect, but it was fun to use!

Only works well if you make sure the angles of the photos are very similar. The app does not have any kind of "intelligent" features for getting the angles to work, or even just features to help you manually fix it. This means you may need to use a different photo app to first flip an image, if person A is facing slightly left while person B is facing slightly right. Would be a much better app if those kinds of preperation steps were built in.

I have read many reviews that prefer the previous version. I do agree with them. The photos that we swapped the faces using the previous one were absolutely great whereas the photos using the present one were horrible. For every one's delight and happiness, could you please kindly use the previous app again? We would be very grateful and you will make our day, the day you change back to the previous one. Thank you very much in advance. Or you could have 2 Faceswap apps with two different names.
